Inside Our QC: Three-stage Inspection Under ISO 9001
What we inspect at incoming, in-process and final stages, sampling ratios and how defects are handled.
Incoming inspection (IQC): every batch of leather is compared against colour cards with sampled tensile and abrasion tests; hardware is sampled for plating thickness and salt-spray hours; EVA and board are checked for weight and dimensional tolerance, with non-conforming batches returned in full. In-process inspection (IPQC): cutting is sampled three pieces per fifty for dimensions, bonding is checked for glue overflow and edge adhesion, lining is verified for divider position and velvet flatness, and every unit is opened and closed twenty times after hardware fitting. Final inspection (FQC): all units are checked before shipment for appearance, lid action, lock strength, logo position and clarity, and lining fit, with functional items sampled at AQL 2.5. Defects are classified as repairable or scrap; repairable units return to the relevant process and are fully re-inspected, while scrap causes are logged for the monthly improvement meeting. Inspection records and shipping photos are archived for two years and available on request. Third-party factory audits and inspections commissioned by customers are also welcome.
